Abusing the Spiral Brush

Here's one I didn't expect to like so much. The purple and pink added with the bucket tool looked flat and boring so I decided to jazz it up with some spiral dots added with the brush tool. I'll admit that I tend to overuse this brush. But when I saw the finished product on my Tumblr site, I decided that I liked it after all. Below is the sketch book page with the original cross drawing.
