Crush Chemo!

hey everyone, long time no blog! i am actually planning a switch to a new blog, with a slightly different focus. this book beat future dead artists to the punch...

art/work

it looks good, i will let you know how it is once i have looked it over more. i am researching some online educational sites and deciding a new direction, let me know if you have any favorite blogs or resources online for art and education.

also, this is a site that my sister and i put together for her wonderful project, Crush Chemo! We will be working to expand the Scarf Drive in the future, in honor of our mother, kathy. check it out and pass it on, also if you want to give me any scarves or hats, i will send them on from portland.

integrated, informed, and yet....

so now i have connected all the pieces: my blog posts to facebook automatically, if i bookmark something to delicious it also appears in facebook, and i can text my status to twitter on my iPhone which then sends it to facebook automatically which i can then access and view on my iPhone (did you follow that?)

i also have learned that i must have more friends of friends in canada than i used to, several cities are checking in on my blog and my new jewelry site- mingledesigns.etsy.com , although canadians seem less interested in my art for some reason. but i have gotten hits from uk, mexico, south korea, china, italy, germany, netherlands, singapore, russia, bangladesh, and belgium in the last month, so i can take you or leave you canada! and i have such a pretty redesign on there, go ahead and check it out, you know you want to... blakeshell.com

also people are viewing my teaching philosophy up on my site, which is fairly detailed. possible employers? grad students looking for examples? current students checking out my ways? it is interesting, many more hits to the teaching philosophy that i would expect, more than to many of the art series pages. i encourage students to learn from me, from my experiences in the art world as much as my knowledge of any medium or concept, so maybe someone is thinking about teaching as a profession, i don't know. most of the time, all this tech info just leads me to more questions, not really to any answers.

but it is fun!
